Notice Concerning the Closure of the Orchard Hall
and the Continuation of Activities by Bunkamura

(2025.12.10)

The Bunkamura multi-purpose cultural complex, operated by Tokyu Bunkamura, Inc. (Address: 2-24-1 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), has been closed except for Orchard Hall, which is currently operating primarily on Sundays and national holidays. However, it has been decided that Orchard Hall will close as of Monday, January 4, 2027.

Even during the closure, Bunkamura will continue its role as a hub for cultural and artistic expression. A wide variety of cultural and artistic events will be held at local facilities in Shibuya and other areas along the Tokyu railway lines, as well as at other Tokyu Group facilities.

During the closure, in addition to renovating facilities and upgrading equipment that has aged over time, major renovation work is planned in preparation for integrating The Museum with a new facility to which it will relocate as part of the Shibuya Upper West Project. (The project is due for completion in fiscal 2029.)

Currently, the schedule and details of the renovation work, as well as the reopening date, are under careful consideration and coordination with the relevant parties. We will provide further information as soon as the details have been finalized. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disruption caused to our guests and all concerned parties because of this long-term closure.

Your understanding is highly appreciated as we commit ourselves to improving our facilities and evolving as a hub for cultural and artistic expression.
