A theatre designed for every variation of dramatic expression

The first of its type in Japan, Theatre Cocoon was born out of the concept of offering the perfect setting for a fusion of drama and music. Fully committed artistic production makes possible all kinds of dramatic milieu, from musical dramas to concerts and contemporary dances. Theatre Cocoon brings out the music in drama and the drama in music. Theatre Cocoon's residence system and its two-season system have become firmly established. What's more, Theatre Cocoon has gathered some off the most creative minds of our time to exchange ideas and simulus; the result- a breathtaking variety of dramatic expression. Furthermore, with seating for 747, it is a thoroughly practical, medium-sized theatre. The stage and the back row of seats are a mere 24 meters apart. The intimate dimentions and the three-tier balconies either side of the stage evoke a unique ambience, a sense of oneness between the audience and the artists. It is with pride that we present this exciting, intense crucible for dynamic and creative theatre.
